Scarborough Castle
Managed and maintained by English Heritage, Scarborough Castle is a 12th Century medieval fortress dividing both the North and South bays of Scarborough. With stunning panoramic views Scarborough Castle is only a few minutes walk from Phoenix Court.
Open Air Theatre
The Open Air Theatre, was officially opened by The Queen on 20 May 2010 and is the UK's largest open air theatre. The open air theatre has played host to many live acts including Elton John, Lionel Richie, Nile Rodgers, Kylie Minogue and Noel Gallagher to name just a few.
Peasholm Park
Peasholm Park is situated in the North Bay of Scarborough with a boating lake that circumnavigates an accessible island with Japanese themed garddens. There are plenty of friendly squirrels that welcome feeding around the park and along the Peasholm Glen Tree Trail. During the Summer months there is the Naval Warfare events, where famous sea battles are recreated with large model boats.
Scarborough Cricket Ground
Situated just behind The Phoenix Court is the Scarborough Cricket Ground, which plays host to Scarborough Cricket Festival and Yorkshire County Cricket Club fixtures.
Stephen Joseph Theatre
The Stephen Joseph Theatre situated in the centre of the town and is a nationally renowned theatre with its unique round stage.
Alpamare
Alpamare situated in the North Bay of the town is a watepark with a range of water slides and indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
Sea Life Centre
The Sea Life Centre in Scarborough is home to a wide variety of sea creatures within a wide range of aquariums. Outside there is the Penguin enclosure and the pirate themed mini-golf.
North Bay Railway
The North Bay Railway is an almost 1 mile long miniature steam railway that provides a fun way to travel from one side of the bay to the other.
Cleveland Way
If you like walking, The Cleveland Way is the clifftop trail that enables you to take in the stunning views. After only a few minutes walking along the Cleveland Way you will find yourself away from all the busy crowds.
